As a counselor I am particularly interested in periods of transition, trauma, and attachment. I work from a feminist, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach, listening and validating without judgment while introducing coping skills and self-care.
I wholeheartedly believe in the healing power of art, viewing it as a conduit for bringing meaning and purpose into life and the therapeutic process. One of my role models, Art Therapist Pat Allen, says, “If you commit yourself to art as a way of knowing, a point will come when certain images appear which are “numinous” or spirit-filled. These images are signposts into the depths of yourself.” I love the magic of art therapy and what it can reveal about the self to the self. I believe art making can foster a sense of identity, something that may be lost in transitional periods.
I am committed to creating a nurturing, empowering, and supportive environment for all clients in need.
Licensure: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in the state of Colorado (LPCC.0023504) & and ART-P (Art Therapy Provisional License)
Education: BFA from CSU 2015
& MA – Transpersonal Art Therapy Masters Program at Naropa University 2025

Tiffany Castro, LSW

Hello! My name is Tiffany, and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish), therapist. I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Colorado 10 years ago. Although I miss the ocean, I have truly enjoyed the beautiful mountains of Colorado. I obtained my Bachelors of Social Work from the University of UMass Global, and completed my Master in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), and first generation Salvadorean American, I understand the importance of feeling heard, seen, understood, and supported. As a person centered therapist, I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self, while also help in guiding you towards your goals and understanding the why’s in your life. My goal is not to change who you are. You, are the expert in your own life. My sole role is to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, explore your emotions, and work toward greater mental and emotional well-being. My goal is to support you with compassion, understanding, and respect while helping you build the tools and confidence to create meaningful changes in your life, that will help you thrive. I cannot wait to meet you, and get to know you better. It would be a privilege to help you with your journey.

Karina Pinzón, LPCC

Hola! My name is Karina (she/her/ella), and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish), first-generation Colombian-American therapist. I offer trauma-informed somatic therapy to children, teens, and adults in English, Spanish, and Spanglish. All of you is welcome here — your history, your culture, your body, your questions, and your becoming.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University, with a concentration in Somatic Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy. My approach is holistic, person-centered, and somatic — meaning our work together attends to the whole of you: mind, body, and spirit. Sessions may include body-based interventions, movement, mindfulness, present-moment awareness, imagery, storytelling, metaphor, and supporting nervous system regulation. The modalities we use are collaborative, guided by you and what feels most alive and accessible in the room.
I have experience working with survivors of domestic violence and relational trauma, and feel especially called to support folks navigating intersections of identity, life transitions, and their relationship with their body. I work with those seeking to reclaim their vitality, personal meaning, and embodied sense of self. In this work, I believe that rebuilding a relationship with our body and senses is also how we begin to reshape the stories we carry about who we are.
Before becoming a counselor, I spent years immersed in the study, practice, and teaching of yoga, functional movement, and traditional movement lineages rooted in the intelligence of the spine and joints. This background deeply informs how I practice — my understanding of the body as a site of transformation, meaning, and innate wisdom lives at the center of my clinical work. For those open to it, gentle movement exploration and repatterning can be a part of our work together.
Whatever brings you here, you will be met with warmth, genuine curiosity, and the occasional laugh. Much of our work together involves slowing down — learning to sense what lives within you and how it moves in relationship to the people, systems, and living world around you, and finding language for what you discover there. I hold the relationship between us as central to this process and to your healing. I look forward to connecting with you!
Si prefieres expresarte en español, estás en el lugar indicado. Aquí hay espacio para ti — tu historia, tu cuerpo, tu idioma, y todo lo que traes contigo. Me encantaría conectar contigo!

Dawn Chase Barbour LPCC, LPSC
Hello! I’m Dawn, and I’m a strength-based, person-centered therapist. I believe every life story is dear and matters from the challenges we face to the small and large victories we celebrate. I’m dedicated to walking alongside you supporting you with compassion, understanding, and respect every step of the way.
Having worked as a school counselor, I’m aware of the challenges faced by many young people and their caregivers. My experience centers on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I’m also experienced in individual and small-group counseling focused on strengthening executive functioning skills, emotional regulation through the Zones of Regulation framework, relationship building, peer communication, and coping skill development. As well, I delivered evidence-based social-emotional learning using Second Step curriculum to 5-12 year olds—equipping students with tools to support both academic success and personal well-being. I also support youth caregivers, sharing tools and resources that nurture their child’s growth.
Additionally, I incorporate sand tray work, expressive arts, mindfulness techniques, journaling, bibliotherapy, and play therapy. And I will have completed the Introductory Level Program in Synergetic Play Therapy in July.
I also work with individual adults who are seeking to explore and process their own experiences and emotions while uncovering the strengths and gifts they already carry. Together, we discover approaches that feel most meaningful and empowering for your life.
I grew up in the mountains of Colorado, and enjoy skiing and hiking with my husband. I love to travel and I’m in awe of our wide world. My travels and experiences far from home have informed much of my story. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to support some amazing people. I’ve partnered with genocide survivors in Rwanda, supported in the healing journey of young women who have survived trafficking in India, and helped equip and encourage young adults aging out of the orphanage system in Haiti. These experiences affirm my faith in the strength and dignity of every person. And my trauma informed lens has been framed by the work I’ve been part of in these communities.
Everyone deserves to be seen, heard, validated and championed. And my heart’s desire is to offer you that safe space where you feel authentically valued and supported.

“Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we will ever do.” – Brené Brown
Hi there! I am Sam and I am so glad you are here. Gosh, being a human can be hard sometimes, can’t it? Perhaps even harder than we ever imagined it would be. I am a firm believer that no one should ever have to go through life’s difficulties alone, which is precisely why I decided to become a counselor. While I know you have every ounce of strength, courage, and power within yourself that you will ever need to overcome those struggles, I will be here with you every step of the way to support, challenge, and encourage you as we work together toward your goals.
I believe that true, holistic wellness is always possible, even with the extremely painful and trying experiences life sometimes throws our way. I am a client-centered therapist who highly values the therapeutic relationship and I work very hard to create a safe, trusting environment where my clients feel heard, supported, and fully accepted just as they are. It is my goal to work with clients to identify their strengths, apply them to various parts of their lives, and address client concerns head on as we work through them together in a way that aligns best with their values.
As a Colorado native I have spent much of my life enjoying the beauty that our great state has to offer as a large part of my own wellness journey. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Denver in 2015. After undergrad I went on to play professional soccer overseas for a few years before pursuing my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wyoming (graduated May of 2021). My travels and life experiences have given me rich exposure to many different cultures and individuals from all walks of life, which allows me to approach treatment with my clients from a multiculturally sensitive lens.
I have a wide range of experience working with clients of all ages using various modalities and techniques such as play therapy for children, talk therapy for adolescents and adults, expressive arts therapies, mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, crisis and trauma work, along with CBT, and DBT. I recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and we will work together to find techniques that fit best with your needs and goals. Regardless of the method, you will ultimately be in the driver’s seat and you will get to decide where we go on this journey. I look forward to working together!

Meet our new Pet, Maverick!

Meet Maverick! He is a pure-bred yellow lab with loads of personality and gentle charm.
Maverick is best known for his snuggles, clumsy demeanor, and kind eyes. He is a young pup who has a love for people, peanut butter, and playing with his four-legged brother Atlas in the yard! As a dog who was originally bred for working outside, Mav has found enjoyment and purpose in supporting the humans he meets on their journey through life. He wants his new friends to know that he understands how hard life can be sometimes. He comes from a background that brought a lot of challenge and fear in his early days, but he is living proof that even our toughest experiences don’t have to define us. He is a very good boy who can’t wait to connect with you during your therapeutic journey!
