Insurance

Our clinicians offer in-person and virtual sessions. We utilize the platform Simple Practice. It would be beneficial to download the application to your mobile device if you intend to use that device for video sessions.

What Insurance does The Other Road Counseling accept?

We currently accept Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, United Health Care, Cigna, Kasier, Medicaid (Rocky Mountain Health Plan, CCHA and Colorado Access), Medicare and Tri-Care East/Tri-Care West for insurances. We also accept private pay at $100.00 per session.

If we do not offer your insurance at the moment, please let me know and we will work with you to make sure that cost is not preventing you from getting help.

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

Please inform us if you have primary insurance and secondary insurance.

We recommend asking your questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician for services to be covered?

It is your responsibility to reach out to our office manager to inform us of any insurance changes.

What if my insurance is not accepted?

That is okay! If you would like to see one of our counselors even though we do not take your insurance, we can provide you with a “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance provider. If the services are accepted by your insurance, they would then reimburse you at their out-of-network rate.

Payment:

We accept cash and all major credit cards as forms of payment. We require a credit card to be placed on file upon intake. Our preference is to pay by credit or with debit card. Our card will be processed after your session unless you specify otherwise.

Cancellation Policy:

If you are unable to attend a session, we ask you to cancel it in 24 hours. You will receive many appointment reminders from Simple Practice about your upcoming appointment. It is best for you to reach out to your clinician to cancel.

-You will be allowed one late cancel within the calendar year. Our clinician will inform you about your one last cancellation, so you are aware.

-If you are using private insurance or self-pay, we do charge a $100.00 late cancel/ no-show fee by using your credit card on file.

-If you cancel or no-show 3 times in a 60-day period, this does result in discharge and referrals will be provided.
