Brainspotting

Brainspotting was developed by psychotherapist Dr. David Grand. It is an intervention technique that combines biolateral sound, emotional/body awareness, and eye positions to access deeper parts of the central nervous system where emotional pain, trauma, and other mental health challenges reside in the brain. This deeper access allows clients to process subconscious or out of reach experiences and challenges and provides release from the body and mind.

During initial sessions, you will work with your therapist to build a safe and trusting relationship. Your therapist will work to explain the gentle and effective process of Brainspotting while encouraging openness and trust in one’s own experience and the healing power of the body and brain.

Benefits of Brainspotting:

Reduced reactivity

Trauma and emotional processing

Reduced symptomology

Increased awareness of mind and body

Ability to make connections between past and present experiences

Ability to shift perspective

Emotional and physical release
